Testimonials

"I have been a serious body worker for 22 years and have been hopping massage therapists for as long. When I met CJ I liked his energy right away. He may not have the years of experience but he has the gift. Complete presence, excellent palpation skills, the mindfulness of a matured practitioner, and rather surprising technique! I am now his client."
Penny Michaels
Body Worker
"First off the place was neat and located in a professional office space. CJ is an excellent massage therapist. He found and worked on the problems in my shoulders and upper back. I felt much better and relaxed afterwards. He is knowledgeable and knows what he is doing, I would absolutely recommend 100%. Great place, definitely going to go again. Thank you CJ."
Jessie Colston
Massage Therapist
"I have had literally hundreds of massages anywhere from resort type, personal massage therapist, and occupational therapist. Charles is the second best massage therapist I have ever known. The first being a man who has been in the business for over 40 years at this point. Charles is just starting his career and I know he will have great success. He practices mindfulness during the massage and is extremely intuitive to the needs of his client. He has a passion for continuing education in the healing arts, which will serve him well as he continues his journey in this career. I cannot emphasize enough that the massage you will receive from Charles will be fabulous and probably the very best that you will ever have."

Silicone Cupping Therapy: It is a treatment that uses suction to help break up congested energy. This is achieved by placing a special cup over certain areas of your body and then creating a vacuum seal. The blood flow is increased due to negative pressure, which also breaks up congestion in your muscles and tissues. Different techniques are used to treat different conditions, but the therapy is most frequently used for pain relief, particularly for those suffering from joint pain, back and neck pain, or arthritis. Cupping itself is an ancient healing art that has been in use for thousands of years.

Deep Tissue: Manual techniques that target specific areas of tension in deep muscle tissues to release adhesions, which are rigid bands of tissue that can cause pain and chronic tension and restrict motion. Types of strokes applied include but are not limited to kneading; grabbing or rolling the muscles; effleurage or stroking, gliding strokes that use the entire hand surface; percussive movements, such as tapping or cupping; and friction, in which the superficial surfaces are moved over deeper tissue.

Trigger Point Therapy: A manual technique to treat trigger points. It uses strong manual pressure and can be uncomfortable or somewhat painful usually regarded as a “good and releasing pain.” Techniques used focus directly on the trigger points and taut bands while incorporating fascial release techniques, which affect a larger area of the muscle and its fascia. The more accurately the trigger point is treated, the less pressure has to be applied.

*As with all services, please drink plenty of water before and after to aid in eliminating released toxins.

Myofascial Therapy: A safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves locating areas in the Myofascial connective tissue that are stiff and fixed. These areas are then stretched and loosened usually under light pressure for extended periods of time. This is great for eliminating pain, restoring motion, and vanquishing stiffness.

Massage therapy is the scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body for the purpose of normalizing those tissues and consists of a group of manual techniques that include applying fixed or movable pressure, holding, and/or causing movement of or to the body. While massage therapy is applied primarily with the hands, sometimes the forearms or elbows are used. These techniques affect the muscular, skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, nervous, and other systems of the body. The basic philosophy of massage therapy embraces the concept of vis Medicatrix naturae, which is aiding the ability of the body to heal itself, and is aimed at achieving or increasing health and well-being.
